EarthBeat Music presents West African Drum-Dance-Sing Presentations, Workshops and Residencies! Our programs enhance mental health and well-being, foster personal development and encourage creative expressiveness through the powerful, transformative practices of drumming, movement, and singing. We share West African traditional music, which includes diving into the rich history, culture and language, to create more resilient and empathetic communities. We strive to connect students to the Master Musicians - our mentors - from West Africa, as well as other regional visual and dance artists to create a WHOLE experience.

We offer classes, demonstrations, workshops, and artist residencies for all schools and learning environments for all ages in the art of Capoeira, an African-Brazilian martial art and dance, and related Brazilian dances. We also can work with other teaching artists of other disciplines on an as-needed basis.

I am a former classroom teacher. Due to illness, I no longer can be in the classroom. Through my ordeal I have acquired a service dog to help me with daily tasks. Since then, I have written a series of books about my service dog. The first in the series is informational and children and adults alike can benefit from learning about these special dogs. I offer free school visits to do author talks and book readings for both of my first two children's books. With my second book, I am able to do a presentation teaching writing skills using sequence words as the theme. My picture books are titled: Daisy the Service Dog, and Daisy the Service Dog Goes Grocery Shopping I would be honored to do an author talk and reading or to do a presentation on writing using sequence words.

The Children's Museum at Saratoga is dedicated to creating an interactive community that inspires curiosity, sparks imagination, and nurtures discovery. We are committed to serving as a resource for Capital Region school districts and to ensuring that programs and services are accessible to all children. The Museum offers outreach and field trip programs for students from preschool to 6th grade. The Career Day Inc. Full Day Program offers a transformative experience that connects students with a diverse range of professionals across industries and backgrounds. Speakers include school alumni and local professionals who share their personal journeys and practical insights, encouraging students to explore their interests and make informed decisions about their futures. The day begins with a high-energy keynote assembly, delivered by a dynamic speaker whose story sets an empowering tone. This opening session inspires students to embrace their unique talents and approach their futures with confidence. Following the keynote, students rotate through career-specific breakout sessions based on interests of THEIR CHOICE. In these smaller classroom settings, they engage directly with professionals—from electricians and engineers to artists and healthcare workers—who demonstrate how academic subjects like math, science, or art apply in real-world careers. For many students, these connections illuminate unexpected pathways, such as how a love of drawing could lead to a career in surgery, architecture, or design. All participating students are invited to apply for the Arie A. Bucheister Memorial Scholarship, a $1,000 award granted to one student per school. The scholarship honors those who express how Career Day Inc. programs influenced their educational and career aspirations and encouraged lasting connections with mentors and potential career opportunities. Each Full Day Program is customized in collaboration with school administrators to meet the unique needs, schedules, and demographics of the school community. By introducing students to a wide spectrum of careers and pushing them to think beyond their comfort zones, Career Day Inc. empowers students of all academic levels to pursue exciting and often unimaginable possibilities. The Career Day Inc. Panel Style Assembly offers students a dynamic and inspiring experience by connecting them with a diverse panel of professionals across various industries. Panels typically feature three to seven presenters, depending on the school’s schedule. A key feature of the program is student interaction. Ample time is provided for Q&A, and students are encouraged to submit questions in advance. The most thoughtful questions are highlighted and rewarded during the event to promote deeper engagement. To enhance the impact, many schools now include breakout sessions following the panel. These smaller group discussions allow students to connect more personally with the speaker or field that resonates most with their career goals, heritage, or cultural identity. The Career Day Inc. The Author Village is a community of forward-thinking and award-winning children's book authors and illustrators and educators available for in-person and virtual school visits, library visits, festivals, conferences panels, workshops, professional development, and special events. Many of our authors are currently scheduling both in-person and virtual author visits for the 2024-2025 school year. For in-person visits (up to three presentations, lunch with a small group of students, and book signing), our authors charge between $2000.00 and $7500.00 (plus travel expenses), depending on the author. For full day virtual visits, our authors charge in the $1500.00-$4500.00 range, depending on the author. For individual 45-50 minute sessions, the authors charge between $750.00 and $2000.00, once again, depending on the author.

Being One World provides research-informed professional development designed to strengthen staff effectiveness, resilience, and school culture. Services include workshops and multi-session training in growth mindset, trauma-informed practice, mindfulness-based self-regulation, emotional intelligence, and conscious leadership development. Workshops support educators and leaders in reducing stress-driven reactivity, improving communication and collaboration, building identity-affirming learning environments, and sustaining performance in high-demand settings. All sessions are practical, experiential, and aligned with district goals related to social-emotional learning, staff wellness, culturally responsive practice, and improved student outcomes. Professional development is available in in-person formats and can be customized to meet district priorities.

Medley Music Access & Inclusion provides accessible and adaptive music education resources including professional development, classroom activities, product recommendations and more. Medley's mission: We specialize in the true access and inclusion of disabled students with high support needs in school-based music classes. We welcome all learners into the essential human experience of creating and loving music with others. Presenters Jessica Corwin (music educator) and Jen Kass (board certified music therapist) are both neurodivergent/disabled educators who provide professional development to music teachers and other teachers about accommodation, meaningful inclusion, joyful music-making, and social connection, especially in the elementary general music classroom. Although based in Western Massachusetts, they are able to travel and present remotely. Medley's signature one-day workshop Intro to Adaptive Music Education covers topics including anti-ableist language, neurodivergence-affirming practices, current research on autism, learning differences and corresponding teaching strategies, and the imperative of listening to neurodivergent voices. In all of their PD sessions, participants engage in a variety of sample classroom activities that can be replicated in their own classrooms. Music teachers of all student age groups and specialties, and teachers of other arts have reported that Medley's approach combining theory & philosophy, and practical, hands-on classroom strategies and activities creates some of the most valuable and relevant PD they've ever participated in.
